Raised in rural Indiana, where hard work earns high regard, and
educated at Purdue University, where keen competition keeps
students on their toes, Brenda Combs learned early on what
she needed to do to be successful.
Stay focused, tap your inner strength and learn everything you
can are principles that guide her life. Permeating it all: an
unparalleled positive attitude. That proved valuable as she
faced her own adversities in life, and now she shares her spirit
and steps to success with others.

Brief Bio
A resident of Lafayette, Indiana, Brenda Combs was born and
raised as a member of the fifth generation on a family farm.
Early on she knew she wanted to major in communication,
which most people thought she would outgrow. Wrong!
Today, she’s a motivational and inspirational speaker in her
business, Positively Female, and president of MoonDANCE
Marketing, a full-service advertising and marketing company.
She’s also the mother of twins headed to college in Fall 2009
and survivor of a rare cancer.

Bachelor’s in public relations from Purdue University; additional studies in organizational management, University of Notre Dame, and bank marketing, University of Maryland and University of Colorado.

Before launching her own businesses, Brenda Combs held development and leadership posts in the banking, tourism and hospitality industries.

“Community” is Brenda Combs middle name, as she devotes time to others. Posts include Association of Women Business Owners, Home With Hope Mentor for women in recovery, Leadership Lafayette, March of Dimes Marketing Committee, Tippecanoe County Child Care Board and extensive United Way service.

Okay, it’s only the stage, and it’s local. But her roles in Lafayette Civic Theatre productions illustrate her energy and zest. Most recently, she brought to life a comedic “Truvy” in Steel Magnolias.
